A Spotlight on Michael Eastwood

In this interview our keynote speaker at the Crystal Enlightenment Conference, Michael Eastwood,

reveals the profound shift in his whole outlook on life when the Crystal Kingdom entered his awareness.

How did you first become interested in crystals?

Michael Eastwood, Crystal Curator

I was at a circle dancing gathering and noticed some rather nice crystals on a stall. A friend of mine purchased a crystal and presented it to me as a gift. The crystal was a Smokey quartz point that I still cherish to this day. I was so intrigued by the crystal and the sentiment that it was given in that I bought a book on crystal healing to see what it was all about - I was captivated from page one.

How have crystals helped in your own life?

I really do not think that I would be who I am today without crystals and their continued presence in my life. Something inside me lit up with my first crystal. Crystals enabled me to co-create a life on my own terms. Before crystals I saw no future for myself, well not a future with any vitality or sense of aliveness.

What is your speciality within the field of Crystal Healing?

Crystals helped me validate my sense of becoming who I am. I was able to see auric emanations as a young person - crystals, crystal writers and crystal dreamers encouraged me to work with what I see, to accept it as a gift rather then something to hide. I use this gift of sight when I write, teach and buy crystals. The devas of crystals communicate to me via my sight. They talk in light codes which my sight translates into reality - all of this mixes itself into my creativity and infuses my work with something unique to me.

If you could only choose 5 crystals which would they be and why?

Ajoite - because it was the first Oversoul I met. Rose quartz - because it is just lovely. Smokey quartz - because it was the first crystal I was ever given. Clear quartz - because I work with it so much, it is so adaptable. Citrine - because of the sheer joy it exudes.

What would be your advice for someone just starting out as a Crystal Therapist?

Train properly with someone you feel knows what they are doing and has the skill to give you the best experience. Train in a group - a crystal group will bring out parts of yourself you never knew existed. Try and work from a dedicated crystal healing space/room, your crystals and you will appreciate it.
